Like BOTOX, Dysport is also created with botulinum toxin to address dynamic facial wrinkles for a more youthful appearance. 

Since then, its use has been expanded for cosmetic purposes such as wrinkle treatment, and EsthetixMD medspa is pleased to offer this alternative to BOTOX. A chemical cousin to BOTOX, Dysport is an injectable form of botulinum toxin Type A that has been found to be faster acting than BOTOX in clinical studies. FDA-approved for aesthetic uses since 2009, Dysport was tested in over 2,900 patients in over 80 study sites across the country. Your Dysport Recovery

While receiving Dysport, Bend, OR, patients require minimal recovery but may experience some minor swelling or bruising at the injection site. These conditions will resolve naturally within a week. You should avoid lying down for four hours after treatment. Do not rub or massage the treatment area. You should also avoid exercise, heat exposure, and alcohol for 24 hours.

Your Dysport Results

Your Dysport results will appear gradually. You will begin to notice the effects of your treatment within three to five days of your Dysport injection, and full results will appear in approximately two weeks. Results generally last three to four months until maintenance treatment is needed.

  • Is Dysport painful?

If these serious effects do occur, seek medical help from a healthcare professional right away. 

  • How quickly does Dysport start working?

    Dysport typically begins to take effect within 2-3 days after injection, with full effect within 14 days, and peak results occurring around 30 days post-treatment.

  • Can Dysport be used for treatments other than frown lines?

    Yes, Dysport can be used to treat muscle stiffness, spasms, cervical dystonia in adults, and may be used off-label for other cosmetic purposes and medical conditions as determined by a healthcare provider.

  • How is Dysport administered?

    Dysport is administered through injections into specific facial muscles using a small needle. For glabellar lines, a total of 50 Units is typically injected in five equally divided aliquots across the treatment area.

  • What should I avoid after receiving Dysport injections?

    After receiving Dysport, it’s recommended to stay upright for at least four hours and avoid strenuous physical activities and pressure on the treated areas to prevent the product from spreading to adjacent muscles.

  • How does the cost of Dysport compare to other similar treatments?
