More than just fat removal – total toning and shaping with Emsculpt in Bend OR
15 Oct
EsthetixMD Spa & Laser Center is well known for bringing some of the latest, most innovative, and most effective cosmetic solutions to Bend, OR. We have products and non-surgical procedures for anti-aging, hair reduction, skin rejuvenation, fat removal, and much more. However, abs and glutes were beyond the realm of aesthetic devices to create muscle tone and lift – until the introduction of Emsculpt by BTL.
A true breakthrough in aesthetic technology, Emsculpt allows patients to burn fat and build muscle while comfortably relaxing in one of our inviting treatment rooms. Needless to say, we were excited to add Emsculpt to our suite of technology. Even more importantly, our patients have been delighted with the results.
Want muscle tone and definition? Don’t sweat it!
Conventional wisdom says that if you want firm and toned muscles, you need more exercise. That is great for people who have the time and energy to hit the gym after a long day at work, especially if they have the patience to wait weeks or months for limited results of their daily efforts. For those who want to see results quickly, who don’t have time for enough intense workouts, or who have hit an exercise plateau, there is Emsculpt.
The procedure isn’t designed to melt fat, but it does help your body burn fat, just like intense exercise would. The benefits include:
- Fast treatment (most patients need a series of about four, 30-minute sessions);
- No downtime;
- Nonsurgical, non-invasive;
- Appropriate for the abdomen, buttocks, arms, or legs;
- Average 16 percent muscle mass increase;
- Average 19 percent fat reduction; and
- Sculpt your body like never before!
The science behind Emsculpt
At the most basic level, virtually every energy-based aesthetic device works on the same principle. Each type of energy reacts with solid matter in specific ways, passing through some substances and not others. Depending on the type of energy and how it is delivered, it can selectively target specific components in tissue. Before Emsculpt, the focus was on upper tissue layers, with devices optimized for purposes such as zapping hair follicles, melting fat, or erasing blemishes on the skin.
Unlike common aesthetic devices, Emsculpt does not use common energy types such as laser, ultrasound, or radiofrequency. Instead, it utilizes HIFEM (High Intensity Focused Electro-Magnetic) energy, which has little to no impact on skin. It selectively targets skeletal muscles, which are those used in voluntary movement.
Application of HIFEM triggers supermaxial contractions, which are stronger than voluntary muscle contractions. Furthermore, they are in rapid succession, much faster than you could possibly move. A single Emsculpt procedure takes about 30 minutes, with muscle impact equal to about 20,000 squats or crunches. Can you imagine trying to complete a comparable workout at the gym? It wouldn’t be safe, or even close to physically possible.
About the procedure
Each Emsculpt session takes approximately 30 minutes. You will recline comfortably on the treatment table. The clinician places conductive paddles on the treatment area and begins applying energy. We begin at a lower power setting, and gradually increase it to full power as muscles adapt. Patients describe the process a feeling strange, somewhat like extremely intense vibration, but not typically painful.
When the procedure is over, you are free to go on about your day. There is no downtime or special aftercare instructions. Most patients experience no side effects, except for a little muscular soreness like you might expect following an intense workout.Call our office for more information Call us at 541-508-7907 or Schedule an Appointment online today
Results
Many of our patients notice a slight improvement immediately after the first session. However, muscular tissue growth and remodeling takes time. The treatment area will gradually become more sculpted and firmer with each session, and results continue developing for a time after treatment is complete. Generally, the full beauty in Emsculpt is apparent several weeks after the final session.
How long will your new shape last? To some extent, that depends on your lifestyle. In most cases, results last at least six months, though a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise are likely to extend them. Due to the safe and noninvasive nature of Emsculpt, you can schedule periodic maintenance treatments if you notice the tone diminishing.
